What a Brouhaha this Summer!

What a Brouhaha this Summer!

Liverpool will be treated to an awesome display of carnival revelry this Summer with Brouhaha’s unique flavour of International Carnival spreading to more parts of the city and the globe than ever before maintains Brouhaha Intl Festival director Giles Agis.

“It all began with Liverpool Night Light this year. We were able to share some Brouhaha love and culture with shoppers and office workers finishing for the week who all wore wide smiles as nine huge puppets masqueraded their way through Church Street, Water Street and Williamson Square closely followed by One Latin Culture’s La Bomba. It was a chance for us to showcase to a wider audience what the Brouhaha International Street Festival is offering from July 19th- 28th.”

Musicians, dancers, circus performers, carnival artists from around the world will again take to the streets for this year’s festival, with new international performances in the City Centre and across Liverpool.

Giles added: “It’s been a good start overall to Summer. We’ve recently participated in a great weekend with Preston Carnival and we’re also at Liverpool’s awesome Mersey River Festival this weekend with many of our friends from the city’s arts community.

“We’ve got loads of exciting news too about Brouhaha collaborations in Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Istanbul and Morocco this year.

“Ultimately though, the focus is on our 10 day festival culminating in two flagship events on Saturday 27th July 2013 with the Liverpool International Carnival and the World in Princes Park from 12 noon.”
