February 13th, 2017
Liverpool Health Partners (LHP) gear up for second ‘Health is Wealth’ Conference on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.
“Transforming health through collaboration: the challenges and opportunities”
Health is Wealth 2017 is connecting leaders and change makers in health and care with researchers, innovators and businesses.
The event will discuss the future of health research, new models of person-centred care, integrated systems, and technologies and consider their role in enhancing the health and wealth of our economies. This will be set within a context of the need to reform health and build relationships and partnership beyond Europe.
We will showcase the latest research, innovations and best practice from our own city region as well as hearing from leaders of other organisations, networks, care providers and companies.
LHP in itself is a strategic partnership aimed at creating health gain with the vision to pursue excellence in research, clinical education and healthcare delivery, and we are structured around the principles of collaboration across health services, academia and industry.
We have developed this event in conjunction with the Healthy Liverpool Programme, and with support from the Innovation Agency and Invest Liverpool, to enable the showcasing of initiatives and partnerships as well as highlighting the transformation that is taking place across healthcare.
“Good health is critical to the wealth of individuals and to that of society as a whole. This conference will look at the challenges to delivering effective health care in the face of increasing pressures, how health can be transformed through innovation, and how research lies at the heart of any change. LHP is leading the way by opening this debate in order to identify solutions and increase collaboration.”
Professor Sir Ian Gilmore, LHP Chairman
