Brouhaha International Festival’s match funding offer to businesses

Brouhaha International has launched its fundraising campaign for Carnival after announcing a larger day-long event in Princes Park on the July 12th 2014.

The Liverpool International Carnival will kick off on Sunday 13th July, the same day as the World Cup Final in Rio, Brazil with the event finishing 2 hours before kick off!

As part of their campaign, Brouhaha signed up to Local recently, heralding a new way of financing the carnival and festival work, as executive director Giles Agis explained.

He said: “We have been accepted for which enables any donation to be matched through monies from the Office of Civil Society. Once these are matched by local we may match them again through our Arts Council England Catalyst funding, which potentially means that a £10 donation can become £20 becomes £40. This means that potentially every donation increases by 300%!”

Brouhaha is now embarking on a campaign to find and sign up Individual Champions that make a £10 donation as a one off, Community Champions at £10 per month over 6 months entitling givers access to the ‘Champions VIP tent in Princes Park, Social Champions (Social housing providers and voluntary organisations) at £100 per month over 6 months, granting VIP access and branding on all local festival publicity and print.

Corporate Champions drawn from the private sector at £150 per month over 6 months benefit from free 2014 festival/carnival t-shirts and food and refreshments in the ‘Champions VIP tent in Princes Park, plus branding on all local, national and international festival publicity and print, plus an individual performance between the 11th-22nd July from one of Brouhaha’s 20 international companies.

Mr. Agis added: “There are enough offers for everyone to get involved in making a donation…these offers embody the true, inclusive spirit of Brouhaha!”
